I believe 04 was still DBC. They switched over to DBW in 05.

Re: Part Development Opportunities - ATTN Drew/Dylan
Things I would need to know and possibly don't like lol
1. Checking for boost leaks after?
2. Going to run the car with the tb?
3. Is it just measuring so you can make the tb?
4. Can I turn the boost up on the Eco? Lol
5. Yeah I can prob make that happen but Thursday after work I need to get yaks on the car so I can bring them up to fox lake when I leave for work Friday morning.

The throttle body is all done. Just want to throw it on and see how well it works or doesn't work.
Basically we are chasing after getting the proper voltages for the ECU to read.
Worst case scenario it doesn't get enough air in and it will shut off.
We do not plan on working on it on Friday, so I can promise it will be done Thursday.
If you would like to know the whole process - It would be taking off your TMIC to get to the TB. Transferring sensors from OEM TB to BR TB. Putting it back together and tweaking. I have done this before if that is what you are worried about. :*

Re: Part Development Opportunities - ATTN Drew/Dylan
You forgot the part of 16 clutch drops once the tb is in lol
Re: Part Development Opportunities - ATTN Drew/Dylan
If you can pick up the car after work Tuesday and drop it off after work Thursday then I have no issues.
Re: Part Development Opportunities - ATTN Drew/Dylan
We do not need to drop the clutch :p
DBW essentially works on magnets. The shaft is connected to a wheel with magnets. When it turns, sensors read the electromagnetic field and determine the angle of the shaft.
We need to sort out which magnets to use, rest of the TB is completed.
Wrong magnets = askew idle.
Shit looks good on paper, but can act goofy in real world scenario.
I promise no harm to your baby!
May have to swing by later on Tuesday - like 9 ish maybe. Or earlier. I won't know until Tuesday.
